Accounts Payable Specialist (TEMPORARY)

We are looking for Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Riga. He/she will be responsible for processing and paying on time all supplier invoices in accordance with accounting standards, process guidelines, internal control procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Review, escalate, monitor and solve matching discrepancies. Accurately and timely perform the accounts payable month end closing activities. Control and review the payment process and items received not invoiced.

¨ Computer literate (knowledge of JDE or other ERP tool will be considered as an advantage).
¨ Process all suppliers’ invoices
¨ Review, escalate, monitor and solve matching discrepancies with Suppliers or internally with Purchasing, receiver, approver, G/L or Local Finance Manager
¨ Support the internal control process around accounts payable
¨ Follow corporate authorization and approval guidelines. Escalate any inconsistencies to Local Finance Manager
¨ Control and review supplier invoices, disbursements and optimize payment instructions
¨ Control A/P supplier balance, receivable not invoiced (Goods and Freight) on a regular basis
¨ Contribute to and promote a culture that supports Cabot Values, team work, and high safety health and environmental (“SH&E”) standards
¨ Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standard business practices, as they pertain to accounts payable processes, as well as, the Business Service Center, including internal control procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
